<br />$4 <br /> <br />Attachment 1 <br /> <br />STORMW A TER AMENDMENTS TO ZONING <br />SUMMARY OF PROPOSED REGULATIONS <br /> <br /> Existing Regulations Proposed Regulations <br />Definitions Not included Adds definitions of impervious surface, <br /> landscape area, lot coverage, permeable <br /> pavement, pervious surface, riparian vegetation, <br /> runoff, sensitive area, source control measures, <br /> stormwater site design measures, stormwater <br /> treatment measures, top of bank, vegetated <br /> swale, and protected watercourse. <br />Minimum No requirement; only Minimum pervious area prescribed for each <br />Pervious Area limited to site coverage zoning district (Table 1); may be landscaping, <br /> (building coverage) open space or penneable surfaces; list of <br /> penneable surfaces and permeability ratios to be <br /> applied by Engineering; exempts the CB and <br /> CBR zoning districts; also exempts service <br /> stations, auto repair, or similar uses where <br /> infiltration is not desired; applies if increase in <br /> impervious area of 5,000 square feet or <br /> replacement of more than 50% of existing; <br /> allows for credit for park strips used as pervious <br /> area for drainage treatment. <br />Pervious Area No requirement; only Minimum of 60% of front yard must be pervious, <br />in Front Yard setback for structures primarily of landscaped materials; minimum of <br /> 20 feet pavement width pennitted for lots of 50 <br /> feet or less in width. <br />Stormwater No requirements a) Adds Section 32.12, with purpose statement <br />Requirements and reference to Chapter 27 A <br /> b) Directs drainage to landscape areas or other <br /> filtration prior to discharge from site <br /> c) Requires on-site treatment of runoff and <br /> approval by Engineering for all development <br /> sites <br /> d) Provides for alternative treatment methods <br /> where infiltration is not feasible or desirable <br /> (service stations, etc.) <br /> e) Requires creek protection measures (see <br /> below) <br />
