Update on Collaborative Efforts to Enhance School Safety <br />Student Threat Assessment Team <br />•The San Mateo County Office of Education currently has <br />a working threat assessment team and protocol in place <br />•The team began taking cases at the beginning of the <br />2017-18 school year after all districts in the County were <br />provided training in conducting “Level 1” assessments <br /> <br />•Level 1 assessments are performed by school personnel <br />utilizing a standardized matrix <br /> <br />•If the school is unable to resolve the threat at their level, <br />the case is then brought to the “Level 2” Multi- <br />Disciplinary Team for follow-up review
