EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />1. Scone of Services. Consultant shall provide thorough, accurate and professional services <br />both On -Site at the City of Redwood City offices and Off -Site as follows: <br />1.1 Plan Review Services. Consultant shall perform plan review services as directed <br />by the Project Administrator. All plan review services provided by Consultant shall <br />include the initial plan review and all subsequent re -reviews as necessary for building <br />permit issuance. <br />1.2 Building Inspection Services. Consultant shall perform building inspection <br />services for a specified number of hours as directed by the Project Administrator. These <br />services s h a 1 1 include review of all approved plans, specifications and documents, <br />review and respond to all inspection requests and reports, attend mandatory meetings, <br />including, but not limited to, safety training, City staff coordination, applicant <br />progress and project management meetings, perform inspections for compliance <br />to applicable State of California Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire codes, <br />as well as State energy efficiency and accessibility standards as amended by the City of <br />Redwood City. Consultant's services may include a State of California registered Fire <br />Protection Engineer, to complete all Fire Code inspection services requested by the <br />City, or CASp certified inspections as directed by the City of Redwood City Building <br />Official or his/her designee. <br />1.3 Permitting Services. Consultant shall perform permit process services for a <br />specified number of hours as directed by the Project Administrator. Consultant shall <br />assist architects, contractors and the public in accepting, processing and tracking <br />applications for building permits, calculating and collecting permit fees, and providing <br />General Plan and Zoning information. These services include front counter and phone <br />assistance regarding building permit requirements, plan check fees, plan check filing <br />procedures and processing, and permit status, accept permit applications, calculate and <br />apply fees, and reviews plans for conditions of prior approval. <br />1.4 Code Enforcement Services. Consultant shall perform code enforcement services <br />for a specified number of hours as directed by the Project Administrator. These services <br />shall include identifying code violations and engaging stakeholders and responsible parties <br />to correct code violations consistent with municipal and state codes tailored to the specific <br />needs of the City. <br />1.4.1 Applicable Codes. Codes and ordinances to be enforced include, but are not <br />limited to: <br />• Zoning codes <br />• Building codes <br />• Housing codes <br />• Public nuisance codes <br />• State health & safety codes <br />Page 3 of 12 <br />REV: 05-21-19 RL <br />ATTY/AGR.Amend No.1/INTERWEST <br />
