Cultural Resources (Discovery of Cultural Resources) — Mitigation Measure #11: The City requires that if cultural resources are encountered during excavation or site preparation, such work shall be halted immediately in the area of discovery and the project sponsor shall immediately notify the Community Development Director of the discovery. The project sponsor shall be required to retain the services of a qualified archaeologist for the purpose of evaluating, recording, protecting, or curating the discovery as appropriate.
