Agency shall prepare and mail Bills for services provided to Customers by 1418 <br />Contractor and shall collect Customer payments. 1419 <br />1. Frequency. Agency shall Bill accounts classified by Agency as Residential bi-1420 <br />monthly in amounts equal to the Customer’s subscribed Rate for all services 1421 <br />provided in a two (2) month period in arrears. Agency shall Bill accounts 1422 <br />classified by Agency as Commercial monthly in amounts equal to the Customer’s 1423 <br />subscribed Rate for all services provided in a one (1) month period in arrears. 1424 <br />2. Bill Format. Agency shall have the right to revise the Billing format (e.g., size, 1425 <br />font, frequency, etc.) and to itemize certain charges. 1426 <br />3. Records. Agency shall maintain copies of Customer Billings and receipts, in 1427 <br />chronological order, for a period of three (3) years after the date of service. 1428 <br />Agency may, at its option, maintain those records in computer form, on 1429 <br />microfiche, or in any other manner, provided that the records can be preserved 1430 <br />and retrieved for inspection and verification in a timely manner. 1431 <br />Contractor shall be allowed to access and review Agency’s Billing systems on 1432 <br />an appointment basis and such access shall not be unreasonably withheld by 1433 <br />Agency. 1434 <br />4. Rates. Agency shall establish, by resolution, Rates for the types of service 1435 <br />provided as described in Section 11.07 or elsewhere in this Agreement. 1436 <br />5. Service Stops. Contractor shall allow Customers to suspend service and Billings 1437 <br />when the Premises are unoccupied. Single-Family Residential Customers may 1438 <br />suspend service for a minimum of one (1) Service Day on a maximum of three 1439 <br />(3) occasions each Rate Year. Commercial Customers may suspend service for 1440 <br />a minimum of two (2) Service Days on a maximum of six (6) occasions each Rate 1441 <br />Year. Multi-Family Customers may not suspend service without prior written 1442 <br />approval from Agency. The Billings for both Residential and Commercial 1443 <br />Customers shall be prorated in accordance with Customer’s requests to suspend 1444 <br />service. In order to enable Agency to bill properly for service stops, Contractor 1445 <br />shall employ best efforts to accommodate Agency’s request to provide data 1446 <br />regarding service stops on a daily basis. 1447 <br />B. Delinquent Payment. Agency shall address the issue of delinquent payment as 1448 <br />specified in Attachment H, which consists of City of Redwood City Resolution 14840 1449 <br />dated February 2008, pertaining to Delinquent Utility Service Charge Schedule for 1450 <br />the City of Redwood City, or as the same is subsequently amended. 1451 <br />C. Local Office. Contractor shall maintain a local office in the Shoreway Environmental 1452 <br />Center, located at 225 Shoreway Road, San Carlos, California, for acceptance of in-1453 <br />person payment of bills, but only for those services for which Contractor is responsible 1454 <br />for billing under this Agreement. If office space at Shoreway Environmental Center 1455 <br />becomes unavailable for the Contractor’s use, Contractor shall establish a local office 1456 <br />in the SBWMA Service Area. Such a change shall be considered an Agency-directed 1457 <br />6.2.B. - Page 50
