<br />REV: 03-16-18 MI <br />ATTY/AGR/2018.054/RECOLOGY OF SAN MATEO ATTACHMENT A <br />Page 6 of 18 <br />Customer <br />“Customer” means the Person to whom Contractor (or Agency if Agency bills directly) submits <br />billing invoices for Collection services provided to a Premises. The Customer may be the <br />Occupant or Owner of the Premises provided that the Owner of the Premises shall be responsible <br />for payment of Collection services if an Occupant of the Premises fails to make such payment. <br />Day <br />“Day” means calendar day unless otherwise specified. <br />Designated Transfer and Processing Facility <br />“Designated Transfer and Processing Facility” means the Shoreway Recycling and Disposal <br />Center or “SRDC” at 225 and 333 Shoreway Road, San Carlos, California, which is owned by <br />SBWMA. <br />Designated Waste <br />“Designated Waste” means non-Hazardous Waste which may pose special Disposal problems <br />because of its potential to contaminate the environment and which may be disposed of only in <br />Class II Disposal Sites or Class III Disposal Sites pursuant to a variance issued by the California <br />Department of Health Services. Designated Waste consists of those substances classified as <br />Designated Waste in California Code of Regulations Title 23, Section 2522. <br />Discarded Material <br />“Discarded Material” means Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials <br />placed by a Generator in a Container and/or at a location that is designated for Collection pursuant <br />to the Agency's Municipal Code. Discarded Material shall become the property of Contractor <br />pursuant to California Public Resources Code Section 41950 until delivery to the Designated <br />Transfer and Processing Facility. <br />Disposal <br />"Disposal" means the ultimate disposition of Solid Waste Collected at a Disposal Site. <br />Designated Disposal Site <br />"Designated Disposal Site" means the facility or facilities utilized for the landfill Disposal of Solid <br />Waste Collected under the terms of this Agreement. <br />Drop Box <br />“Drop Box” means an open-top Container with a typical capacity of twenty (20) to forty (40) cubic <br />yards that is serviced by a Drop Box or roll-off Collection vehicle. Drop boxes that contain <br />putrescible solid waste require a lid. Drop Boxes are also referred to as Debris Boxes. <br />Effective Date <br />“Effective Date” means the date identified in Section 3.01 when this Agreement becomes binding <br />and enforceable. <br />Electronic Waste (or E-Scrap) <br />“Electronic Waste” or “E-Scrap” means “Covered Electronic Wastes” as defined in the Act <br />(Section 42463 of Public Resources Code) in addition to discarded electronic equipment such as, <br />6.2.B. - Page 138
