<br />$. /.d- 4 <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />JO In POWERS, AGREEMENT ESTABLI SHING <br />THE SAN MATEO COUNTY, NARCOTI CS TASK FORCE <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> <br />(hereinafter referred at to the "Countyll) and those cities within <br /> <br />the County of San Mateo who become signatories to this agreement <br /> <br />(hereinafter referred to as "the Citiesll or IICity" as the context <br /> <br />requ ires) I hi made in 1 ight of the following rec ita ls : <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />The County and the Cities have authority to perform law <br /> <br />enforcement functions in their ,respective communities and desire <br /> <br />to establish a Narcotics Task Force within the County of San <br />Mateo whereby the parties will assist one another in the <br /> <br />, . <br />detection, apprehension and prosecution of drug-related criminal <br />activity and will engage in a coordinated and coJ)centrated effort <br /> <br />to combat .effectively drug trafficking in San Mateo County. <br /> <br />',.. <br /> <br />B.
