<br />ð: /;¿f- ¿z <br /> <br />¡. <br /> <br />, A.tv.ŒNDMENT TO JOINT PO'W"'EPwS ..~REEMENT <br />, ESTABLISHING TEE <br />SAN MATEO' CÖUNTY N~CÖ'Ì'lCS"I'ASK"rbRtE <br /> <br />TEIS AMENDMENT to the agreement dated March 26, 1985, by and <br />between ,t"he COUNTY .OF SAN lW-_TEO, hereinafter referred to as <br />II County" I and the signatories to said agreement, 'þe:re~nafter <br />referred to as "City" Dr "Cities"; . <br /> <br />WITNESSET:a: ' <br /> <br />, , , <br />WHEREAS, 'the parties previously have entered into an <br />, agreement dated March 26, 1985, which created the SAN MATEO <br />COUNTY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS I during the past 2-1/2 years of operation of the <br />task force., it has become apparent that certain minor ,changes <br />should be made to the joint powersagr-eement, and it is the <br />desir:e of the parties t,o amend said agreement; , <br /> <br />NOW, ,THEREFORE, ,IT ,IS HEREBY AGREED: <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />, 1.'Sectio;c.7(f) o:Ethe joint powers ag'reemenf.,is hereby <br />amended to, read as follows: <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />Cities or County may provide, with the approval of <br />the :Board I all or part of their annual financial <br />contriputiòn by providing the full-time services of <br />personnel. The :Board shall establish rules for <br />determining the ,monetary value of eac]:¡ suc"h City or <br />County contribution of personnel. The, Board snall <br />' author ize any City to r-ecei ye a refund if the value <br />of p,ersonnel contributions exceeds the city is <br />annual financial contribution. When the Board <br />authorizes such a refund, the Board shall determine <br />the amount of t"he refund and the method of <br />payment. ' , <br /> <br />2. This <br />agreement shall be deemed ,terminated when the <br />number of Cities participating in, this agreement is <br />six (6) or less or when the County withdraws., Upon <br />termination, each vehicle and each item of capital <br />equipment shall be returned to the party <br />contributing such vehicle or equipment and all <br />other assets shall be' distributed to the parties <br />hereto ,in proportion' ,to the contribution of the <br />parties during the life of the Narcotics Task <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />50037 <br />
