<br />~ /¿f-.£6 <br /> <br />SECOND AMENDMENT TO JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />ESTABLISHING THE <br />SAN MATEO COUNTY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE <br /> <br />THIS AMENDMENT to the agreement dated March 26, 1985, by and between <br />the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, hereinafter referred to as "County," and the signatories <br /> <br />to said agreement, hereinafter referred to as "City" or "Cities"; <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties have entered into a Joint Powers Agreement dated March <br /> <br />26, 1985, (Resolution No. 46673) which created the SAN MATEO COUNTY <br />NARCOTICS TASK FORCE; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, that Joint Powers Agreement was fIrst amended on February 23, <br /> <br />1988 (Resolution No. 50097) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has become apparent that certain changes should now be made to <br />the Joint Powers Agreement, and it is therefore the intention of the parties to further <br /> <br />amend said agreement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREIN AGREED: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Introductory paragraph of the joint powers agreement is hereby amended to <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />"THIS AGREEMENT by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> <br />(hereinafter referred to as the "County") and those cities and law enforcement agencies <br />within the County of San Mateo who become signatories to this agreement (hereinafter <br /> <br />referred to as "the Cities" or "City" as the context requires), is made in light of the <br /> <br />following recitals:" <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Section 6 of the joint powers agreement is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />
