SPECIAL ORDER(S) OF THE DAY <br /> <br />A. Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project Update – Presented by <br />Casey Fromson, Director of Government & Community Affairs with CalTrain <br /> <br />5. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Public comment is for items that are on the Consent Calendar items and topics that are <br />not on the agenda, but that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. <br />Please be advised that the Brown Act does not allow the City Council to discuss matters <br />not on the agenda because it does not give the public adequate notice. Accordingly, the <br />City Council and staff might provide brief factual statements or ask clarifying questions <br />or respond at a later time. <br /> <br />The time for public comment on this portion of the agenda is generally fifteen (15) <br />minutes. Regardless of the number of speakers, a speaker shall not exceed 3 minutes <br />but the time allotted might be less than 3 minutes when there are more than 5 speakers, <br />at the discretion of the Presiding Officer. If you wish to speak, please complete a <br />speaker's card, and submit it to the City Clerk. Once the public comment period has <br />begun, no additional speaker cards will be collected and no additional speakers <br />will be allowed to speak. <br /> <br />For more information about public comment and public participation during the meeting, <br />please see “A Guide to City Council Communications & Business" <br />(http://www.redwoodcity.org/home/showdocument?id=164). <br /> <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR AGENDA PAGE NUMBER 8 <br /> <br />Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one <br />motion and one vote. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL: Waive reading of the consent calendar and the full text of ordinances <br />and resolutions, and approve the Consent Calendar items. <br /> <br /> 1. City Participation in Potable Reuse Exploratory Plan Through Amended <br />Memorandum of Understanding with Regional Partners <br /> <br /> Staff contact: Justin Chapel, Public Works Superintendent 780-7469 <br />jchapel@redwoodcity.org <br /> <br /> Recommendation: <br /> By Motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to Execute Amendment <br />No. 1 to the Memorandum of Understanding Between The Bay Area Water <br />Supply and Conservation Agency, California Water Service Company, San <br />Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Silicon Valley Clean Water, The City <br />of San Mateo, and The City of Redwood City to Participate in the Potable <br />Reuse Exploratory Plan, which calls for the City of Redwood City to <br />Contribute Funds in the Amount of $10,000 for the continued evaluation of <br />the potable reuse of recycled water
