18-6715 Redwood City | 20
Conclusions and Recommendations
Redwood City voters indicate that maintaining public safety and preserving
rapid 911 response times are extremely high priorities, and voters are
supportive of a revenue measure to protect these and other essential City
services.
Informational outreach to the public about the city’s needs will be an
important step in increasing awareness of the current budget situation.
A sales tax measure could be successful in 2018 with a robust, privately
funded outreach effort. Communicating with local voters about the City’s
need for revenue to protect essential public safety services, youth programs
and other services to maintain the quality of life in Redwood City will be
essential to success.
