She <br />also reminded Commissioners whose term may be ending this year to turn in an application if they are <br />interested in continuing on the Commission. There are openings on various Boards, Commissions and <br />Committees. Information about them and how to apply is on the City website. <br /> <br />Announcements <br />Bruce stated that there are no term limits for the Senior Affairs Commission but Commissioners <br />must reapply at the end of each 4 year term. <br />Bruce also reported that Lyft riders must provide a credit card number to be charged for the <br />service. Cash is not accepted. The Sequoia Healthcare District Lyft program is only for residents of the <br />District going to or from medical and dental appointments, including Stanford and the Menlo Park VA <br />Hospital, or to and from senior centers in the District,. The service is provided Monday through Friday, <br />8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays for 4 hours only. It is available for people of any age not just <br />seniors. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at 2:15 p.m. The next meeting will <br />be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Goldstar room at the Veterans Memorial Senior <br />Center in Redwood City, California. <br />
