<br />PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES DEPARTMENT 16 <br />Flygt Sewage and Storm Pump Preventative Maintenance Project <br />Replacement parts for the Flygt pumps (manufactured by Xylem Water Solutions USA) <br />must be purchased exclusively through an authorized dealer. <br />3. A complete written report of the findings, result and work performed on each pump <br />upon completion of each annual inspection. <br /> <br />PART B - UNANTICIPATED MAJOR REPAIRS <br />Contractor shall provide any additional pump repairs, overhauls, or direct replacement of <br />pumps which are not included in Preventative Maintenance. Prior to performing any such <br />additional repairs or replacements, Contractor shall submit to City a description of the work <br />determined to be necessary together with an estimate of cost for such work and parts and <br />obtain written approval from City. The parties shall both execute a written change order to this <br />Contract, documenting the City’s approval and the Contractor’s price and scope of work. <br />Contractor shall perform such additional work and provide necessary parts at the approximate <br />prices listed in Attachment F. <br /> <br />CITY ASSISTANCE <br />At the time scheduled with City for the contractor to perform inspections and repairs, the City <br />shall provide a 120-volt electric supply on-site. At the City’s sole discretion, it may also provide <br />a mechanic to assist in the inspection and to learn proper repair techniques. Finally, if <br />requested by Contractor sufficiently prior to an inspection, the City shall provide lifting <br />equipment due to the location or size of the pump(s). <br /> <br />1. Any work not specifically mentioned, but which is needed to make the maintenance <br />complete within the intent of this specification shall be performed without additional <br />cost. <br /> <br />2. The Contractor shall systematically examine, adjust, clean, and repair the pumps in <br />accordance with the specified inspection schedule. <br /> <br />3. The Contractor shall assign a primary and a backup technician to this account. An account <br />representative shall also be assigned to be the contact for communications regarding the <br />contract. <br /> <br />4. Contractor shall set up specific day(s) that inspections shall occur each year. If the <br />Contractor cannot make the scheduled inspection day(s) because of emergencies, the <br />Public Works Superintendent shall be notified and the work shall be rescheduled. <br /> <br />5. If the Contractor is called away during the scheduled maintenance and cannot complete <br />the scheduled preventive maintenance, he/she will return the next working day. <br /> <br />6.1.A. - Page 33
