EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant shall provide architectural services to enhance security and access control <br />at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. Contractor shall provide <br />two design options for each floor of City Hall that enhance security and access control <br />at City Hall. Contractor shall: <br />• Task #1 Hold Meetings with Citv Staff: Hold a sufficient number of meetings <br />with staff representatives from City Departments occupying City Hall in order to <br />identify security and access control and related operational concerns. <br />• Task #2 Design Securitv 'Portals': Design security "Portals" and other <br />structures that limit access to staff -occupied areas to authorized persons. <br />• Task #3 Retain Public Access: Retain public access in order to conduct <br />business and hold community meetings/gatherings whenever the building is <br />open. <br />• Task #4 Evaluate Public Gathering Areas: Evaluate public gathering areas in <br />City Hall to reduce/eliminate unauthorized use and nuisance problems. <br />• Task #5 Ensure Emergencv and Disabilitv Access: Ensure emergency and <br />disability access and compliance with all federal, state and local building codes. <br />• Task #6 Maintain Overall Integration: Maintain overall integration of building <br />functions/uses and avoiding 'bottlenecks' in circulation patterns. <br />• Task #7 Prepare Floor Plans and 3D Representations: Prepare floor plans, <br />schematic drawings and three-dimensional representations of design options. <br />• Task #8 Prepare Cost Estimate: Prepare cost estimates for design options. <br />• Task #9 Present Design Options: Present design options at a meeting of <br />departmental representatives and a separate meeting of the City Council. <br />• Task #10 Revise and Finalize Preferred Design: Revise and finalize a <br />preferred design based upon input from the departmental and City Council <br />meetings. <br />• Task #11 Prepare Construction Documents and Cost Estimates: Prepare <br />construction drawings and project cost estimates. <br />Consultant will subcontract with YEI Engineers, Inc. for mechanical, electrical and <br />plumbing engineering design and with Guidepost Solutions LLC for security electronics. <br />Page 10 of 12 <br />REV: 04-12-18 MI <br />ATTY/AGR.2018.083/The Crosby Group -- Engineers and Architects <br />
