12. ADJOURNMENT —8:15 P.M. <br />M/S Bain /Foust to adjourn to a reception in honor of newly elected Council <br />Members and newly selected Mayor and Vice Mayor until the next Council meeting <br />of December 5, 2005. <br />Council Member Bain requested adjournment in memory of David Crevelt who <br />died in a traffic accident on Thanksgiving Day at the age of 47. He was born and <br />raised in Redwood City being one of eight children, graduated from Woodside High <br />School in 1976, then to Canada College and Fresno State University earning a <br />degree in Business Administration. He entered the insurance field, ran an <br />unsuccessful campaign for Congress while in Fresno, in 1987 returned to <br />Redwood City where he coached AYSL soccer afterward joining the coaching staff <br />at Woodside High serving as boys soccer coach for 17 years. He and his family <br />moved to Livermore, was exalted ruler of Redwood City Elk Lodge, and active in <br />other community organization. He leaves his wife and children ages 10, 6 and 3. <br />Council Member Hartnett requested adjournment in memory of Madeline Wallace <br />who recently died at the age of 90 of which she lived 87 years in Redwood City. <br />She was involved in numerous committees, commissions and volunteer activities, <br />a graduate of Sequoia High School and held virtually every position in the Native <br />Daughters of the Golden West over 68 years. She received the Redwood City <br />Pride Award, the Unsung Hero honor, Woman of the Year in San Mateo County <br />and numerous other awards. <br />The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Patricia S.
