ATTY/ORD.464/RC MUNICIPAL CODE CANNABIS BUSNIESS REGULATIONS <br />REV: 04-27-18 MI <br />Page 15 of 22 <br />resulting mixture may then be composted onsite, placed in a premises’ wet bin for <br />pickup, or transferred to a waste disposal facility approved by the Chief of Police. <br />The following inert mediums may be used in the mixture: paper waste; plastic <br />waste; cardboard waste; food waste; grease or other compostable oil waste; <br />bokashi or other compost activators; soil; and other medium approved by the City <br />that will render the cannabis waste unusable and unrecognizable. <br />AA. A delivery center may transfer cannabis or cannabis products to another retailer <br />located within the State of California provided said retailer is registered, licensed, <br />or otherwise lawfully operating pursuant to state law and the law in the relevant <br />local jurisdiction. A delivery center may also receive transfers of cannabis or <br />cannabis product from another retailer located within the State of California <br />provided said retailer is registered, licensed, or otherwise lawfully operating <br />pursuant to state law and the law in the relevant local jurisdiction. Transfers made <br />pursuant to this section shall be subject to all restrictions and requirements <br />regarding the transportation of cannabis into the City of Redwood City, must comply <br />with all other provisions of this Division and state cannabis laws, and must comply <br />with all other City Manager regulations. Transfers made pursuant to this Section <br />shall be subject to all taxes imposed by state and local law. <br />Sec. 32.166 Identification Display Requirements <br />A. While at the cannabis business’ premises, each owner, manager, and employee <br />shall, at all times while engaged in the duties of his or her positions for the cannabis <br />business, wear in plain sight, on his or her person and at chest level, a valid <br />identification badge, issued by the Chief of Police and containing such information, <br />including a suitable photograph, as the Chief of Police may require. <br />B. While engaged in the duties of his or her position for the cannabis business, but <br />not at the cannabis business’ premises, each owner, manager, and employee shall <br />at all times have in his or her possession a valid identification badge, issued by the <br />Chief of Police and containing such information, including a suitable photograph, <br />as the Chief of Police may require, and upon request by the Chief of Police or any <br />other City official charged with enforcing the provisions of these regulations, or any <br />state official charged with enforcing state law pertaining to commercial cannabis <br />activity, produce such valid identification badge for inspection. <br />C. No owner, manager, or employee shall engage in any activities on behalf of the <br />cannabis business without first obtaining a valid identification badge. <br />D. Identification badges shall expire one year after issuance. <br />E. Identification badges are the property of the City of Redwood City and shall be <br />immediately collected by the cannabis businesses within twenty-four (24) hours of <br />their expirations or within twenty-four (24) hours of the termination of the cannabis <br />business’ relationship with the owner, manager, or employee. <br />6.4.A. - Page 28
