o Infill Infrastructure Grants – Supports construction and rehabilitation of <br />infrastructure that supports higher density, affordable and mixed income <br />housing <br />o Farmworker Housing Grant Program – Finances housing for agricultural <br />workers <br />o Local Housing Trust Match Grant – Provides grants to raise or leverage <br />additional funds <br />o CalHome – Assist individual households through deferred-payment loans <br />· $150 million to the Transit-Oriented Development Implementation Program which <br />provides low-interest loans for rental housing developments with affordable units <br />and mortgage assistance for homeownership development. Additional grants will <br />be available to cities and other local agencies for necessary infrastructure that <br />supports higher residential density near transit stations <br /> <br />Should state voters pass the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond, Redwood City <br />may be eligible for various grants that support housing and infrastructure that supports <br />housing. Staff recommends adopting the resolution of support, as this housing bond <br />would support many of the City’s affordable housing goals. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The Council could choose not to adopt a resolution supporting and endorsing the <br />Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond ballot item. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no direct fiscal impact in adopting the resolution of support and endorsement. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under CEQA as defined in CEQA Guidelines, Section <br />15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or a reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br /> <br /> <br />CHRISTOPHER DACUMOS <br />MANAGEMENT ANALYST II <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />8.A. - Page 2
