The Samaritan House Free <br />Clinic of Redwood City provides – at no charge to its patients – basic healthcare <br />services for low-income uninsured residents of the Sequoia Healthcare District. <br />Activities include providing primary care medical services, dentistry and special <br />services such as endocrinology, diabetic care, gynecology, dermatology, internal <br />medicine, nephrology, neurology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, optometry, <br />podiatry, and nutritional counseling. Funding Requested: $15,000. Funding <br />Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />Service League of San Mateo County/Hope House Substance Use Disorder <br />(SUD) Residential Program for Women & Infants. The Service League's Hope <br />House provides temporary shelter, food and other emergency and life-sustaining <br />services for 45-55 women and their infants annually. Hope House is fully <br />licensed to administer a comprehensive, structured, residential substance use <br />disorder (SUD) and mental health treatment program that addresses the needs <br />of women who have been involved in the criminal justice system, come from <br />shelters or local hospitals and who are often homeless and have co-occurring <br />disorders (i.e. chemical dependency and mental health issues. Funding <br />Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />StarVista – Your House South. Your House South provides crisis intervention <br />and support for runaway and homeless youth. Services include: family <br />reunification counseling; emergency overnight or longer term, voluntary <br />residential placement (up to 21 days); individual, group, and family counseling; <br />and aftercare with referrals to a broad range of community service partners who <br />assist families in meeting health, mental health, educational, housing, food and <br />many other needs. Funding Requested: $25,000. Funding Recommended: <br />$15,000. <br /> <br /> <br />BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF LIFEMOVES FUNDING REQUEST FOR <br />REDWOOD FAMILY HOUSE FOR FY 2018-2019 <br /> <br />LifeMoves – Redwood Family House. LifeMoves Redwood Family House <br />provides interim housing, programs, and services to support basic human needs <br />for homeless families in Redwood City and San Mateo County. The project <br />includes supportive services that enable homeless families to return to self- <br />sufficiency. Funding Requested: $34,800.
