OHiGJ r~/'IL DES:djk ~5/25/90 (048/26) DES: dj k~ 1:"0/ 11 /90R ---------- RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 11308 JUN 1 1 1990 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING WATER CONSERVATION LANDSCAPE AND IRRIGATION GUIDELINES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 10828 WHEREAS, a water shortage emergency has been declared by this Council following duly noticed public hearing on the question of said emergency held on June 11, 1990, and regulations and restrictions on the delivery and consumption of water, and penalties for violations thereof, shall be in effect in light of the generally prevailing condition of drought which has seriously reduced the supply of water available from the Hetch-Hetchy water system to the City and County of San Francisco and, in turn, to this City pursuant to contract with said City and County of San Francisco; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10828 adopted July 25, 1988, a Water Conservation Policy and Guidelines for landscaping and irrigation systems for new developments was approved and adopted by this Council for the then prevailing water shortage emergency; and WHEREAS, the Water Conservation Policy and Guidelines approved and adopted pursuant to said Resolution No. 10828 has remained in effect as a prudent measure providing for water conservation in the absence of an imminent water shortage emergency; and WHEREAS, in view of the current water shortage emergency this Council desires to approve and enact revised Water Conservation Guidelines for landscaping and irrigation reflecting experience encountered under the prior Guidelines;
