MEASURES SUBMITTED TO VOTE OF VOTERS MEASURE (A): Shall Redwood City General (heciamatlon and Improvement District No. 1-64 Lrainage rrojecc) incur a general obligation bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of $70,168,000 for the acqui- sition, construction, improvement, maintenance and operation of the following district project, to wit: Reclamation and Drainage Project com- prising (a) preparation works, including cleaning out of depressions and sloughs in areas to be filled and disposition of unsuitable materials; excavation of ponding basins and waterways; excava- YES tion, grading, preparation and leveling with on-site material of surface of areas to be filled; and excavation of existing waterways and use of excavated material as fill in specified areas or disposition of same if unsuitable; (b) levee works, including construction, reconstruction, or removal of levees; construction of levee facing or levee protection works; construction of jetties or dams for harbors or for controlled level water- ways; (c) fill and grading works, including exca- vation, transportation, placing, grading and com- pacting of fill; and placing and removal of imported fill surcharges where needed; (d) drain- age system works, including construction of storm drainage collection systems, canals and appurten- ant facilities, treatment of slopes and instal- lation of drainage structures to protect adjacent lands; (e) pump and discharge works, including construction of drainage pumping and discharge facilities; (f) control system works, including NO construction of drainage control structures, tide gates and appurtenances; installation or construc- tion of water level control structures and appur- tenances; and construction or installation of con- trol systems to coordinate pumping stations and control structures; (g) lands, rights-of-way and easements for any or all of said works; and (h) other works, property or structures necessary or convenient for said project?
