RJC.ek 4/24/64-7 <br />R E S O L U T I O N N 0. = <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING SIX <br />NEW AUTOMOBILES FOR USE BY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 4253, adopted April 6, <br />1964, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of six <br />new latest model 4 -door 8 cylinder sedans for use by the Police <br />Department for municipal purposes; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br />with the City Manager for the furnishing of said equipment; and, <br />WHEREAS, TOWNE MOTOR COMPANY, Redwood City, California, is <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br />of this Council to award said bid to Towne Motor Comp any and reject <br />all other bids received; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of TOVM MOTOR COMPANY, Redwood City, California, <br />for the furnishing of six new latest model 4 -door 8 cylinder sedans <br />in accordance with specifications heretofore approved by Resolution <br />No. 4253, at the total price quoted in its proposal dated April 22, <br />1964, to wit: Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty -Five and 44/100 <br />Dollars ($8,935.44), is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br />2. Any and all other bids received by the City of Redwood <br />City for the furnishing of the abovementioned equipment to the <br />City, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are <br />hereby rejected. <br />
