REG:yc:4/17/64-7 <br />R E S O L U T 1 0 N N O. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, <br />INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO <br />SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY; DESCRIBING <br />SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "OAK <br />KNOLL ANNEXATION NO. 1"; GIVING ITS REASONS FOR <br />DESIRING SAID ANNEXATION; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS <br />RESPECTING SAID PROCEEDINGS; AND, GIVING NOTICE OF <br />THE TIME AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS <br />TO SAID ANNEXATION <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: <br />WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the Local <br />Agency Formation Commission and the Boundary Commission of the <br />County of San Mateo, California, a written proposal to annex to <br />the City of Redwood City all that territory which is hereinafter <br />described; and <br />WHEREAS, said Council has received evidence showing, that, <br />and finds that, said Local Agency Formation Commission and the <br />Boundary Commission have prepared, or caused to be prepared, <br />reports to said Council upon said annexation proposal, all as <br />required by law, and that said Commissions have approved said <br />proposed annexation; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council further has received evidence showing <br />and finds: <br />(1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent <br />to and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City <br />of Redwood City; and <br />(2) That less than 12 registered voters presently reside <br />within said territory and that said territory is therefore <br />uninhabited; <br />
