in the City of Redwood City, and in the San Mateo Times, a <br />newspaper of general circulation published outside the City <br />of Redwood City but within the County of San Mateo, California, <br />in the manner and time and as required by law, and to cause <br />written notice of the proposed annexation to be mailed to all <br />persons or bodies to whom such notice is required to be mailed <br />by law, in the manner and within the time required by law. <br />5. The territory proposed to be annexed to the City of <br />Redwood City and hereinafter described is hereby designated <br />„ Oak Knoll Annexation No. 1 <br />6. The above said territory proposed to be annexed to the <br />City of Redwood City is hereby described as all that territory <br />situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, bounded <br />and more fully described as follows: <br />A portion of Lot 3, Block 29, a portion of Lot 7, Block 30, and <br />portions of Oak Knoll Drive and Canyon Lane as said lots, blocks„ <br />drive and lane are designated on that map entitled "Oak Knoll Manor" <br />recorded May 10, 1916, in Book 10 of Maps at pages 4 to 11, inclusive, <br />and Lots 18, 190 20, 27, 28, 29 and 30 as said lots are designated in <br />that map entitled "Emerald Lake Park Map No. 4" recorded May 12, 1920, <br />in Book 10 of Maps at page 32, said magas being filed in the office of <br />the Recorder of San Mateo County, California; the above lands being <br />more particularly described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of said Lot 3, Block 29, <br />Oak Knoll Manor, said corner also being an angle point in the southerly <br />line of a 10.00 foot lane, said point also being an angle point in the <br />corporate limit line of the City of Redwood City as established by <br />Ordinance No. 776 dated September 3, 1954; THENCE South 44°51130" East <br />along the northeasterly line of said Lot 3 and said corporate limit line <br />a distance of 595.57 feet to the corporate limit line as established by <br />Ordinance No. 688 dated November 19, 1951; THENCE South 45°08130" West <br />along said corporate limit line a distance of 136 feet, more or less, <br />to the centerline of Canyon Lane, 20.00 feet and 30.00 feet in width; <br />THENCE northwesterly and westerly along said centerline, said centerline <br />being 10.00 feet southwesterly of the northeasterly line of said Canyon <br />Lane, to the intersection of said centerline with the southwesterly <br />prolongation of the westerly line of said Lot 27 in said Emerald Lake <br />Park Map No. 4 subdivision; THENCE North 4° 16, West along said <br />southwesterly prolongation and said westerly line of said Lot 27 a <br />distance of 161.43 feet to a point, said point being a common corner <br />of Lots 17, 18, 26 and 27 in said Emerald Lake Park Map No. 4 sub- <br />division; THENCE North 470 18, West along the southwesterly line, <br />and its northwesterly prolongation, of said Lot 18 a distance of <br />217.28 feet to the centerline of Oak Knoll Drive, 40.00 feet in width,- <br />-3- <br />
