Affordable Housing <br />WHAT IS AN INCLUSIONARY REQUIREMENT? <br />Residential development projects over a certain size must set aside a <br />certain percentage of units for affordable housing. <br /> <br />Rental projects had been unable to implement this requirement <br />since 2009 due to a court decision (“Palmer”). <br /> <br />New law was passed in September 2017 specifically allowing cities to <br />create inclusionary requirements.
