ATTY/ORD.468/AMENDING SECTION 20.96 PARKING – JARDIN DE NIÑIOS <br />REV: 05-09-18 RL <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />ORDINANCE NO. _____ <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING SECTION 20.96 OF DIVISION 1 OF ARTICLE VII OF <br />CHAPTER 20 OF THE CITY CODE OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br />PARKING <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Purpose. <br />A. Instituting a two-hour time limit along Middlefield Road and Chestnut Street <br />frontages of 1698 Middlefield Road will accommodate Jardin De Niños Park visitors while <br />discouraging long-term parking during the day; and <br />B. This ordinance is adopted in accordance with Chapter 9 (Stopping, Standing, <br />and Parking) of Division 11 of the California Vehicle Code. <br />Section 2. The Redwood City Municipal Code is hereby amended as shown in the <br />following Sections by adding the text shown in underlined italics (example) and deleting <br />the text shown in strikeout (example). Sections 1 and 2, and text in brackets, [example] <br />are informational only and need not be published in the Municipal Code. <br />Section 3. Chapter 20, Article VII, Division 1, Section 20.96 of the Redwood City <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 20.96. - PARKING TIME LIMITED ON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS DURING <br />CERTAIN DESIGNATED PERIODS: <br />When signs are erected giving notice thereof, parking shall be limited as specified in the <br />table below. Such limitations on parking shall be effective daily except on Sundays and <br />holidays. <br /> <br /> <br />6.4.A. - Page 4
