<br />CES:ces 04/11/90 <br /> <br />(003b/CHAS) <br /> <br />EXHIBIT C <br /> <br />FORMULA FOR DETERMINING PAY INCREASES <br /> <br />FOR EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATIONS <br /> <br />FOR THE PERIOD CO~~ENCING <br /> <br />ON OR AFTER OCTOBER 1, 1991 <br /> <br />Effective with the fir,st pay period beginning on or after <br />October 1, 1991, each employee shall receive a salary increase of <br />not less than four percent (4%) if the Consumer Price Index for <br />all Urban Consumers (San Francisco/Oakland) for July 1, 1990 <br />through June 30, 1991 increases by four percent (4%) or less. If <br />the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers as defined above <br />is between four percent (4%) and seven percent (7%) salaries <br />shall be increased by the amount of the increase of the Index. If <br />the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers defined above is <br />seven percent (7%) or more, salaries shall be increased by seven <br />percent(7%). <br /> <br />Those classifications whose salary ranges exceed the <br />established Labor Market medians by three and one-half percent <br />(3.5%) or more as of October 1, 1989 shall have their October 1, <br />1991 Salary Plan Adjustment reduced by one-half of one percent <br />(.5%). <br /> <br />Unit members occupying such classifications shall be <br />eligible to receive the full salary Plan Adjustment applied to <br />their base salary, providing, however, that such an adj ustment <br />does not place their base salary above the top step of their <br />classification. <br /> <br />1 1 282 <br />
