<br />DES:djm 1/19/90 (043/27) <br />Uf"i :~ i~ (:; II i:\l/t\" L <br />~ l:. .~. fj <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />11275 <br /> <br />APR 2 3 1990 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />LIABILITY COVERAGE AND TRUST <br /> <br />(BAY CITIES JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code <br /> <br />Sections 6500 et. seq., the Bay Cities Joint Powers Insurance <br /> <br />Authority has been established for purposes of providing general <br /> <br />liability and other insurance coverage for member agencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this City has elected to become a member agency of <br /> <br />said Joint Powers Insurance Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to participate in the general liability <br /> <br />insurance program provided by said authority it is necessary to <br /> <br />become a party to the comprehensive general liability coverage <br /> <br />and trust agreement with said Authority. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Comprehensive General <br /> <br />Liabili ty Coverage and Trust Agreement", by and among the Bay <br /> <br />Cities Joint Powers Insurance Authority and certain specified <br /> <br />local <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />agencies, <br /> <br />which <br /> <br />agreement <br /> <br />provides <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />its <br /> <br />signatories a general liability insurance program, a copy of <br /> <br />which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br /> <br />which copy references is hereby made for the full particulars <br /> <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk <br /> <br />are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and to attest <br /> <br />thereto, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
