5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - Laura Fanucchi, HIP Housing Program Director, presented the Council with the 2006 calendar that resulted from the annual calendar contest for students in grades K -5. Children draw pictures of their homes and what state what their homes mean to them. This year the schools in Redwood City were selected to participate in the contest. Out of approximately 500 participants only 12 winners can be chosen. She read statements of two of the Redwood City winners. She thanked the City Council for all the support throughout the year. M/S Ira /Aguirre to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote with Council Member Howard abstaining, due to her absence, on approval of the November 14, 2005 minutes. 5.1 Section — Motions A.
