The traffic flow on E1 Camino Real will be worse and people <br /> outside the community will be attracted to the area. <br /> <br /> Royal P. Farros asked if there has been a traffic flow analysis, will street widening occur, <br /> are there any simple studies timing trips down Broadway. He stated alternatives should be <br /> explored. <br /> <br /> Lupe Kavapalu stated she attends Sequoia High and that the project is a great idea. She <br /> further stated her friends would like to work in the area and the businesses in the area would <br /> benefit. <br /> <br /> Ms. Patterson questioned why the project is not a part of the comprehensive General Plan or <br /> the Downtown Task Force plan. She asked why it is called Century 20 and why there is no <br /> parking under the proposed retail/cinema building. Trading land for buildings is <br /> shortsighted, land appreciates and buildings do not. She asked that a prerequisite for hiring <br /> of a consultant be that they have demonstrated success in other projects. <br /> <br /> Bob Bryant stated the downtown has become a conglomerate of banks and organizations, <br /> the residents deserve retail/cinema and this is the way to do it.
