Purchase of two (2) Backhoe Loaders <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve the purchase of two (2) Backhoe Loaders in the amount of <br />$169,017.22 from Papé Machinery of Newark, CA under the State of California <br />Office of Procurement Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) Contract #4-05-38- <br />0018A. MINUTE ORDER 05-246 <br /> <br />C. Award of Contract - Woodside Road Median Improvements Project <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve the contract documents and award the contract for the Woodside Road <br />Median Improvements Project to the lowest responsible bidder, Scapes, Inc. of <br />Half Moon Bay, California, for their low bid of $325,437.80. MINUTE ORDER 05-247 <br /> <br />5.2 Section - Resolutions - <br /> <br />A. Housing Endowment and Regional Trust of San Mateo County (HEART) <br />Membership - CITY COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />Council Member Howard stated her support for the vision of HEART and asked for <br />an explanation of when the opportunity would arise for Redwood City to serve on <br />the Board. The response from Chris Moore, Executive Director, stated that there <br />are currently two vacancies on the Board for City elected officials. He further stated <br />that the Council of Cities will be taking nominations for those positions at the <br />January meeting. He encouraged Redwood City to put forward a Council Member <br />to serve and stated that other openings could occur as well. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Recommend that the City join the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust of <br />San Mateo County (HEART, formerly known as HEAT) and pursue modifications <br />in the JPA bylaws after joining; and <br /> <br />2.
