With the revenue increase needed on 7/01/2005, average <br />residential customer bills increased from 40/0 to 220/0 <br />. Commercial & irrigation rates increased from 130/0 to 380/0 <br />. Redwood City's cost effectiveness position in the region <br />sh ifted from 3rd to 4th most cost effective (of 14 <br />benchmark agencies) <br />. Residential bills are 20-21 % lower than regional averages <br />/ medians <br />. Staff will work with Utilities Committee on a customer <br />notification procedure for water and sewer rate changes <br />
