EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />FC Projects, Inc. (FC) will administer the $25,000 grant given to the City by the <br />National Endowment for the Arts grant to organize the community engagement portion <br />of the initial design phase for The Pirate Ship and the creation of the collaboration <br />between local children and the artists for shade sails. FC will organize all activities with <br />the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and the Library staff. FC <br />would oversee the travel for artist Emilia Kabakov and principal landscape designer <br />Noemie La Faurie of Balmori Associaties. The activities would include: <br />1. Evening panel discussion of Artlantic & The Devil's Rage. Possible Moderator: <br />Connie Lewellen, Berkely Art Museum Curator. Panelists: curator Lance M. <br />Fung, artist Emilia Kabakov, artist John Roloff, lead landscape designer Noemie <br />La Faurie. <br />2. Site visit and meetings with City staff and stakeholders. <br />3. Redwood Shores community meeting led by Steve Cancian of "Shared Spaces". <br />Emilia Kabakov & Noemie La Faurie to share their work with the residents and to <br />hear some of the community thoughts and ideas. <br />4. Emilia Kabakov meeting with children and their parents to talk about the drawing <br />competition. Library staff with provide a storyteller to read the short story to <br />children. <br />5. Community input session led by Amy Cohen around accessibility with Emilia <br />Kabakov and Noemie La Faurie in attendance. <br />6. Design meeting with Emilia Kabakov, FC, Noemie La Faurie Derek Wolfgram, <br />Chris Beth, and Erika Knerr to discuss shade sails project. <br />7. Reception for Emilia Kabakov with City dignitaries, Civic Cultural Commission, <br />Art stakeholders, Bay Area curators and Museum Directors. <br />8. Oversee shade sail project with Emilia Kabkov and designer Erika Knerr. <br />9.
