Water Financing Plan - 2005 Update <br /> <br />PWS Director Ingram followed-up on the December 9, 2005 meeting, providing an <br />opportunity to receive public comment and questions prior to the January 23, 2006 <br />meeting. He stated some revisions to the plan. <br /> <br />There was no public comment. <br /> <br />Council Members made various comments. <br /> <br />Recommendations: <br />M/S Aguirre/Howard to approve the following: <br />A. Receive a staff presentation on the Draft Redwood City Water Financing Plan <br />- 2005 Update, prepared by Bartle Wells Associates, Independent Public Finance <br />Advisors for the purpose of financing the Recycled Water Project - Alternative <br />"TF", as recommended by the Community Task Force on Recycled Water; <br />B. Create an opportunity for public comment to the City Councrl on the Draft <br />Plan; <br />C. Confirm January 23, 2006 as the date on which the City Council will hear <br />further public comments and consider approval of the 2005 Update of the Water <br />Financing Plan. <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote by those present with Council <br />Member Ira absent. MINUTE ORDER 06-12 <br /> <br />9. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A. The Proposed Use of 2005 Citizens Option for Public Safety (COPS) funds of <br />$109,639.00 by the Redwood City Police Department <br /> <br />Sergeant Harper stated that for the tenth consecutive year the Police <br />Department has received funds through the program. He stated that the <br />funds received must be used for existing services and it is the <br />recommendation that $102,673.00 of this year's award be dedicated to <br />salaries and benefits of Police Officer positions approved by the City <br />Council pursuant to the staffing study of 1997.
