For the past 2 and half years, under an agreement approved by the City
Council, they have partnered with the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department
for the use of Herkner Pool. Use times were available to Menlo MastersfTeam Sheeper in the
"off season" of the pool (before and after our summer swim program for the community).

For it to be possible that Herkner Pool is open other than during the summer months, Menlo
MastersfTeam Sheeper will pay the City a flat rate of $2,600 a month for pool maintenance
costs (staff, supplies, and chemicals), all utility costs, plus 15% of the total monthly costs as rent
back to the City.

Alternative
Not approve the agreement.

Fiscal Impact
The City would fully recover all costs associated with the usage of the pool including: gas,
electricity, chemicals, custodial staff time and supplies, routine pool maintenance costs, alarm
services, etc. Menlo MastersfTeam Sheeper has agreed to pay $2,600 a month (this amount is
based on invoiced collected over the past year), plus monthly utility costs and 15% rent back to
the City.

"..." ¡J M..~...."~e~

C(,A L, /
-'

Christo her Beth Corinne Centeno
Parks, Recreation & Community Parks, Recreation & Community
Services Manager Services Director

,1 J / .
/' f ll./'/"
.1" .¡'/~rC<~IY'

Ed'Everett
City Manager
