L ¿A-~ this cooperative relationship to develop, evaluate, and implement reasonable and feasible policies, procedures, and mitigation actions that will further reduce the impacts of aircraft noise in neighborhoods and communities in San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. Membership on the Roundtable consists of elected officials from the member agencies and jurisdictions they represent, serving at the pleasure of their appointing agency. Cou.ncil Member Bain has served as Redwood City's representative for the last two years. In 2004, the Roundtable Chairperson appointed a Roundtable subcommittee to review the amended MOU, and revise the document to provide for improved operation and efficiency of the Roundtable as a public body. The proposed revision calls for minor language changes, with the intent of calling for the continuing operation of the Roundtable by: (1) retaining the original spirit and focus of the Roundtable, (2) clearly stating its purpose and objectives, (3) establishing the terms of the agreement, and (4) defining the Roundtable membership, operations, and support. At its meeting on April 6, 2005, the Roundtable unanimously approved the proposed revised MOU which supersedes and rescinds the prior MOU and all amendments and provides for distribution to the individual Roundtable members for their review and approval. Adoption of the revised MOU requires adoption by at least two-thirds of the Roundtable member agencies/bodies. A complete copy of the revised MOU is available in the City Clerk's Office for review by Council and the public. Alternative Council may elect to not adopt the proposed revised MOU. Fiscal Impact The proposed revised MOU does not have any direct fiscal impact on the City. Additionally, $1,500 has been budgeted in the 2006/2007 budget for the City's membership in the San Francisco International Airport/Community Roundtable. ~~i!9 Assistant to the City Manager E ward Everett City Manager
