RESOLUTION NO. 8287 <br />MSR:yc:5/17/79 <br />ORIGINAL <br />MAY 21 1979 <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON PORTION OF PUBLIC <br />STREET (TWIN DOLPHIN PARKWAY) AND PUBLIC UTILITY <br />(STORM DRAIN) EASEMENTS ADJACENT THERETO, IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE, <br />AND PART 1, DIVISION 1, TITLE 5 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE <br />OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RESPECTIVELY; SETTING TIME <br />AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR <br />OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED ABANDONMENT; AND ORDERING <br />POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED ABANDONMENT <br />WHEREAS, a portion of property designated as "Twin Dolphin <br />Parkway" in the City of Redwood City, heretofore dedicated as a <br />public street, and certain hereinafter described public utility <br />(storm drain) easements adjacent thereto, are not needed for present <br />or prospective street or other municipal purposes, respectively; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to <br />abandon said portion of Twin Dolphin Parkway and said easements <br />pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets <br />and Highways Code and Part 1, Division 1, Title 5 of the Government <br />Code, respectively; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby declares its intention to abandon a <br />portion of Twin Dolphin Parkway and to abandon certain public utility <br />(storm drain) easements as hereinafter respectively described, and <br />elects to proceed with such abandonments pursuant to the provisions <br />of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code and Part 1, <br />Division 1, Title 5 of the Government Code, respectively. <br />2. The portion of Twin Dolphin Parkway and those certain public <br />utility (storm drain) easements to be abandoned are as indicated on <br />the plat on file in the office of the City Clerk, entitled "Map of <br />Proposed Abandonment Twin Dolphin Parkway & Storm Drainage Easements <br />- Marina Park," and are more particularly described as follows: <br />MAY 21 1979 <br />
