R E S O L U T I O N N 0. O 2` 9 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 2.2(c) OF RULE XII OF <br />THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO OVERTIME EXCEPTIONS AND <br />ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE, AND RESCINDING ALL ENACTMENTS <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH <br />DES:dp:4/25/79 <br />ORO NAL <br />spy 7 1979 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Section 2.2(c) of Rule XII of the Personnel Rules and <br />Regulations of the City of Redwood City, California is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 2.2(c). During (i) periods of strike or <br />work stoppages, (ii) periods of emergency, including <br />the actual or threatened existence of conditions of <br />disaster or extreme peril to the safety of persons <br />and property within the City caused by such conditions <br />as air pollution, fire, flood, storm, epidemic, riot <br />or earthquake, or other conditions including conditions <br />resulting from war or imminent threat of war, or <br />(iii) periods of work on readily identifiable specific <br />projects or programs extending for not less than six <br />consecutive months which of necessity require long <br />hours of overtime work for which there is no reasonably <br />foreseeable opportunity to schedule or allow administra- <br />tive leave in compensation therefor, compensation in lieu <br />of administrative leave may be granted to personnel <br />assigned to the employment classifications hereinabove <br />enumerated relating to management assignments at the <br />rate of one and one-half times their basic salary rate <br />upon approval of the City Manager." <br />2. All resolutions, portions of resolutions, or other enactments <br />or procedures heretofore established or approved in conflict with <br />the amendment set forth in paragraph 1 hereof are hereby rescinded. <br />
