May 1979 <br />-VROPOSED <br />DELIVERY DRIVER -STOCK CLERK <br />DEFINITION <br />Under supervision, operates a light truck or car in the delivery of <br />warehouse stores, mail and interdepartmental communications; performs <br />warehouse and custodial duties; does related work as required. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES <br />Drives light truck or car delivering interdepartmental communications <br />and mail between City offices; picks up packages and material from <br />vendors for the City warehouse and equipment repair shop; picks up and <br />delivers mail; receives, unpacks, checks and records incoming supplies; <br />stores goods and parts in proper storage areas or bins; receives delivery <br />orders, withdraws goods from stores as requested checking for required <br />commodity, size and lot; participates in the inventory of materials, <br />supplies and equipment; picks up parts as requested; issues stock items; <br />maintains premises in a clean and orderly condition; performs custodial <br />duties as required such as washing windows, changing light bulbs or <br />cleaning public areas. <br />REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Some knowledge of warehouse methods and procedures; ability to drive a <br />light truck or automobile; some knowledge of purchase and requisition <br />procedures; ability to keep records and make reports; ability to perform <br />manual labor; ability to maintain effective working relations with <br />others; good physical condition; a valid California driver's license. <br />ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />One year of driving a vehicle with public contact responsibilities and <br />completion of the twelfth grade or any equivalent combination of experi- <br />ence and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and <br />abilities. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
