CGM:yc:5/3/79 <br />ORIGINAL <br />MAY 7 1979 <br />R E S O L U T I O N N 0. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A <br />GRANT DEED TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION) AND A RIGHT-OF-WAY CONTRACT WITH THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA (DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION) IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE HOLLY STREET INTERCHANGE <br />WHEREAS, the State of California (Department of Transportation) <br />requires the conveyance of certain City of Redwood City property to <br />the State in connection with the proposed construction of an inter- <br />change at Holly Street and Bayshore Freeway and a right-of-way <br />contract with the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of California will pay the appraised value <br />to City for such property; and <br />WHEREAS, the construction of such interchange will be of <br />benefit to the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />The conveyance of property for the Holly Street Interchange <br />from the City of Redwood City to the State of California (Department <br />of Transportation) is hereby approved and the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to execute a grant deed conveying such property and to <br />execute a right-of-way contract with the State of California <br />(Department of Transportation) in connection therewith in a form <br />to be approved by the City Attorney. <br />
