_ MSR:dp:3/27/79 <br />R E S O L U T I O N N 0. 8258 0RK'S INAL <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF APR 21979 <br />SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 2 (REVISED) BETWEEN THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA (DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION) <br />AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO A TRAFFIC <br />SIGNAL SYSTEM AND RELATED TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR <br />WOODSIDE ROAD (BETWEEN MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND VETERANS <br />BOULEVARD) <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7891, adopted September 12, 1977, <br />this Council did approve the Local Agency - State Agreement <br />No. 04-5029 between the City and the State of California (Department <br />of Transportation) in order that the City may make use of certain <br />Federal funds available for improvements or restoration of roads, <br />streets, highways, fringe parking and public transportation facili- <br />ties within the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires an improved, <br />coordinated traffic signal system, the installation of a new traffic <br />signal and the widening of a portion of the roadway on certain <br />portions of Woodside Road between Middlefield Road and Veterans <br />Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement (Supplement No. 2 (Revised) to Local <br />Agency - State Agreement No. 04-5029) has been presented to this <br />Council to accomplish the aforementioned purposes and it is the <br />desire of this Council to approve such agreement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled "Program of Local Agency <br />Federal Aid Urban System Projects in the City of Redwood City" <br />(Supplement No. 2 Rev.) by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and the State of California (Department of Transportation), a copy <br />of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which copy reference is hereby made for full terms and conditions <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute such agreement for and on behalf of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br />
