6.1.E. - Page 3
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This proposed funding activity is not a project under CEQA as defined in CEQA
Guidelines, Section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or
a foreseeable physical change in the environment. However, the City previously
determined that the associated development project is also categorically exempt from
the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines
pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15332, Class 32, "Infill Development Projects,"
because the project meets the General Plan and zoning regulations, is on a lot less than
5 acres within an urban context, does not contain habitat for endangered species, and
would not result in significant effects related to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality.
The full analysis was presented to and approved by the Planning Commission on
December 5, 2017.
STEVEN TURNER
PLANNING MANAGER
AARON AKNIN
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ
CITY MANAGER
