As the parade organizers, the PCA may, at their discretion,
limit the types and number of entries participating in the parade.
• The annual Arts and Crafts Festival will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on July 4th
with setup beginning at 4:00 PM on July 3rd.
The Festival may include:
The sale of hand-crafted items offered by vendors selected by an
independent coordinator. The sale of food and beverages offered by a
combination of selected commercial vendors and local community service
organizations.
A concert provided by college bands that participated in the parade.
A children's entertainment area with a stage and seating area.
General information booths provided by parade sponsors, contributors,
and community service groups.
A viewing area for selected vehicles and floats that participated in the
parade.
The following activities will be conducted by other organizations:
The annual Parade Run organized and coordinated by the Redwood City
Education Foundation (RCEF) will be held from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and utilize the
parade route. The Parade Run will also include a post race expo on Warren
between Marshall and Fuller. The expo will provide a "cool down" area for runners
and space for race sponsor information booths. The PCA will request portable
toilets be placed in parking spaces on Warren and Bradford for use by the
runners. RCEF will reimburse the PCA for the cost of the additional toilets. The
PCA will also request appropriate no parking signs and street closures barricades
for the post race expo.
As done in previous years, other groups conducting activities as part of the special events
permit will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that outlines the specific areas
of their responsibility and liabilities and include the PCA as an additional insured.
AM/RESO.0047/CC RESO DESIGNATING STREET CLOSURES FOR FOURTH OF JULY RESO.
