308 Holidays
<br />309 'Holidays" for the purposes of Collection service means New Year's Day and Christmas Day.
<br />310 Holidays for the purposes of local office operations means New Year's Day, Martin Luther King
<br />311 Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving
<br />312 Day, and Christmas Day. When a Holiday falls on a Saturday, it may be observed on the Friday
<br />313 prior to the Holiday. When a Holiday falls on a Sunday may be observed on the Monday
<br />314 following the Holiday.
<br />315 Holiday Collection Schedule
<br />316 "Holiday Collection Schedule" means the modified Collection service schedule due to a
<br />317 recognized Holiday for Collection service. If a Collection service Holiday falls on Monday,
<br />318 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, the service shall be provided the immediately
<br />319 following Day. When a Holiday falls on a Saturday, it may be observed on the Friday prior to the
<br />320 Holiday. When a Holiday falls on a Sunday, it may be observed on the Monday following the
<br />321 Holiday.
<br />322 Holiday Trees
<br />323 "Holiday Trees" means trees targeted for diversion that were purchased and used in celebration
<br />324 of Christmas and other holidays in December and January.
<br />325 Household Batteries
<br />326 "Household Batteries" means disposable or rechargeable dry cells (e.g., A, AA, AAA, B, C, D, 9-
<br />327 volt, button -type) commonly used as power sources for household or consumer products
<br />328 including, but not limited to, nickel -cadmium, nickel metal hydride, alkaline, mercury, mercuric
<br />329 oxide, silver oxide, zinc oxide, nickel -zinc, nickel iron, lithium, lithium ion, magnesium,
<br />330 manganese, and carbon -zinc batteries, but excluding automotive lead acid batteries.
<br />331 Household Hazardous Waste
<br />332 "Household Hazardous Waste" means Hazardous Waste generated at Residential Premises.
<br />333 Household Hazardous Waste does not include those items defined as Targeted Recyclable
<br />334 Materials.
<br />335 Including
<br />336 "Including" means including but not limited to.
<br />337 Infectious Waste
<br />338 `Infectious Waste" means biomedical waste generated at hospitals, public or private medical
<br />339 clinics, dental offices, research laboratories, pharmaceutical industries, blood banks, mortuaries,
<br />340 veterinary facilities, and other similar establishments that are identified in State Health and
<br />341 Safety Code Section 25117.5.
<br />342 Inquiry
<br />343 "Inquiry" means a written or orally communicated request for information, request for Collection
<br />344 services, or request for change in service level made by members of the public, Customers,
<br />345 Owners, or Occupants of properties served by Contractor, or by officers, employees or agents
<br />346 of Agency or SBWMA.
