Public Works Services Director Ingrem responded that the annual bid for street light <br /> signal parts and materials purchase is simply the amount necessary for annual <br /> maintenance. The traffic signal loop service bid is utilized because the City crews do <br /> not have the equipment and technical expertise to repair traffic loops, which are <br /> embedded in the asphalt and trigger traffic signals to operate. <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and <br /> will be enacted by one motion and one vote. There will be no separate discussion of <br /> these items unless a Council Member or Citizen so requests, in which event the item <br /> will be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered in its normal sequence on <br /> the agenda. <br /> <br /> M/S Ruskin/Howard to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br /> by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. (Item <br /> 7.1.E was removed from consideration.)
