<br />Memorandum of Understanding <br />July 1,2005 to June 30, 2006 <br /> <br />Redwood City 2020 has agreed to act as the lead agency in the development and <br />implementation of the Early Childhood Mental Health program in Redwood City using <br />the early childhood mental health model developed by Jewish Family and Children's <br />Services (JFCS). The Early Childhood Mental Health program seeks to improve the <br />social and emotional well being of young children by utilizing trained early childhood <br />mental consultants in regular, ongoing assignments to child care classrooms in Redwood <br />City Elementary School District. This approach assures that the needs of young children <br />are met, while the staff capacity of the teachers in the classroom in nurtured. <br /> <br />Redwood City 2020 will: <br />. Act as lead agency, including applying for and managing First 5 funding to <br />support the activities. <br />. Oversee program goals and share program evaluation results and outcomes with <br />collaborators to insure appropriate adjustments to program implementation and <br />design over time. <br />. Convene the collaborators in quarterly review meetings. <br />. Contract with and oversee subcontracts with each collaborating agency to support <br />the goals of the grant. <br />.
