The required criteria for evaluation included: <br />· Applicants must be based in Redwood City or requesting funds for a <br />performance in Redwood City. <br /> <br />· Applicants requesting funds must be a non-profit and must demonstrate financial <br />stability. <br /> <br />· Funding requested must represent no more than 20% of an applicant’s total <br />annual budget. <br /> <br />· A complete and accurate application detailing the proposed project along with <br />attainable goals, objectives, time frames, and a self-evaluation procedure be <br />submitted by established due dates. <br /> <br />· All grant applications be complete and presented to the Commission by <br />an official representative of the requesting organization. <br /> <br />· The applicant must first obtain permission for the use and coordinate the time, <br />date, and specific requirements for the event with the facility owners prior to <br />applying for Commission funding. <br /> <br />The Commission’s recommendations for funding are contained in Attachment 1 of this <br />report with a brief description of the purpose of each grant request. The Commission <br />hereby requests that its proposed grant recommendations be approved and authorized <br />by Council. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The Council could choose to modify the funding recommendations made by the CCC. <br /> <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The CCC large grants are funded by the City’s General Fund. The total amount <br />approved by the City Council for CCC activities for FY 2018-2019 is $58,896. <br /> <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under CEQA as defined in CEQA Guidelines Section <br />15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or foreseeable <br />physical change in the environment. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6.1.G. - Page 2
