ALTERNATIVES <br />Council could comment on the proposed activities and direct modifications. However, if <br />substantial changes are recommended by the City Council that require a 30-day public <br />comment period, then the City could not to proceed according to the federal statutory <br />timeline, which would jeopardize all CDBG and HOME grant funding. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Adoption of this Amendment to the Annual Action Plan positions the City to receive an <br />additional $187,060 in CDBG and HOME entitlement funds (total $1,237,060) to be <br />used directly by the City or through nonprofit organizations. These funds help the City <br />and nonprofit organizations leverage additional funds to support programs and activities <br />that benefit Redwood City residents. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />All of the activities proposed for funding have been determined to be exempt or <br />categorically excluded under the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), or will <br />be subject to further reviews when specific site are determined. The City has also <br />recorded a Notice of Exemption with the San Mateo County Recorder for the FY2018 <br />Annual Action Plan application pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act <br />regulations (CEQA).
