The production log will be created that will detail: the number of items prepared, any <br /> scratches on the film, documents or areas of the microfiche that could cause problems <br /> during scanning, and any other items of significance that need to be notated. <br /> Raycom will notify the City immediately if there are found any missing microfiche jacket <br /> sequence(s). <br /> Scanning of Microfiche <br /> Quantity Make and Model of Raycom Microfiche Scanners <br /> (2) Meke! M560 APS Microfiche Scanners <br /> Spec: 100 dpi to 400 dpi @ 24X, 100 dpi to 600 dpi @ 48X, 100 dpi <br /> To 200 dpi for 35mm, 24X. Scanning range between 800 to 2,400 <br /> images per hour. Supports Tiffs, Cals, Jpeg, Bmp, and PDF. G3 & <br /> G4 compression, Black & White, Bitonal, and Greyscale output. <br /> Utilizing RDIS Document Imaging Software <br /> Raycom scanning operator(s) will set the required settings using the above-mentioned <br /> scanner at minimum 300 dpi to 600 dpi, Black border removal, DE speckle, DE skew, <br /> black & white (Bi-tonal) and/or grayscale, and multiage or single page PDF to the City <br /> specifications. Settings will be applied to split between changes into a new multipage <br /> file during the scanning . <br /> A header page will be inserted at the beginning of a record if there are poor quality <br /> images contained in the file. If a record has no pages, a disclaimer stating thus will be <br /> inserted . if required the images will be rotated for readability and blank pages will be <br /> removed. <br /> A log with a list of Batches for verification of the number of images, image quality and <br /> identification file names will be created . Each batch will consist of an average of 500 <br /> images on a continuous scanning process. The number of images scanned will be <br /> verified against the number of items prepared for scanning. <br /> Indexing of Microfiche <br /> Raycom Index operator will record on the index fog sheet how many images are <br /> indexed and how many indexes are created . All images will be indexed by Address and <br /> Permit Number per microfiche card as requested by the City. <br /> The index will be verified by the Raycom index operator. RDIS software allows operator <br /> to automatically enter the index fields, with little or no manual entry and to verify what <br /> was entered against the microfiche. <br /> Quality Control <br /> Raycom operational procedures are focused on quality at all times from receiving the <br /> items at Raycom to the very end of finalizing the delivery to the City. The 0/C operators <br /> will verify the directory structure and images quantity total against the production <br /> scanning log sheet and the preparation log sheet.
