COUNTY OF SAIl,MATES Jigreemeat Ne. 49100-63-D001 AGREEMENT wmi INDEPENDENT CONTBACTOB Exhibit 1' Agreement between the County of San Mateo and City of Redwood Ci~ Use Additional Sheets as Necessary L Description of Services to be Performed by the Contractor Contractor (City of Redwood City) shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, m~ll~rial$, sncl 811p~l'vi~ioII necessmy to provide complete and continuous care of all lawn, t~es, shrubs, and gronnd covers, for ongoing malltt~n~nr~ and other landscaping services at Garfield School Playing Fields as per attached Proposal (Exhibit "B"). If the need for additional work or expanded services arises, the Contractor shall submit a written proposal to the County for any additional work and/or services. A representative of the Contractor and a representative of the County shall walk the site to determine the need and scope of the proposed additional work. The County and Contractor shall agree to the scope and cost of the additional work, and the additional work shall authorized in vailing by the Director of Public Works or his designated representative before said work is performed. In any event, the total payment for services on Contractor (City of Redwood City) shall not exceed $58,500 ($53,224 for the 25 months of the coatxact per atlached proposal (Exhibit "B") and $5,276 in reserve for contingencies), im any event, the County shall have the fight to withhold payment if the County determines that the quantity and/or quality of the work performed is unacceptable. Contractor agrees that the requirements of this Agreement pertaining to the protection of proprietmy rights and confidentiality shall survive termination of this Agreement.
