6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br /> Rudy Luca asked for an answer regarding the skatepark project costs. He stated his <br /> recollection was that the cost would be between $350,000-$380,000. He further <br /> stated that the newspaper currently cites the cost at closer to $680,000.00. Secondly, <br /> he stated that on the 6:00 p.m. news on Channel 11, six cities were mentioned <br /> regarding affordable housing, with the number one leader for either nonaffordable or <br /> a minute amount of affordable housing being Redwood City. He would like a <br /> response on both items. <br /> <br /> Mayor Claire responded that the list was compiled by a nonprofit agency based on <br /> the Housing Element sent to the State. The list addresses plans for additional Iow to <br /> moderate income housing and whether that meets the recommendations of ABAG for <br /> the community. He further clarified that the list does not address what is already in <br /> place. <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and <br /> will be enacted by one motion and one vote. There will is no separate discussion of <br /> these items unless a Council Member or Citizen so requests, in which event the item <br /> is removed from the consent calendar and considered in its normal sequence on the <br /> agenda. <br /> <br /> M/S Claire/Howard to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br /> by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items, item 7.2A <br /> was removed for separate discussion and Item 7.2E was removed from consideration. <br /> <br /> 7.1 Section - Motions <br /> <br /> A.
